The Cantina Roleplayers Guild is a freeform/freestyle, interactive roleplay
group playing in the Star Wars universe created by George Lucas. Over 100
original active characters to interact with and over 15 original planets
created by various members. All chat logs are saved to the private website
for future reference and as one way to help others see what is going on in
the galaxy.
Where We Fit In
Original characters interact in an alternate universe, set in the years after RoTJ.
In our universe, the Emperor survived only to be dethroned a few years
ago by the current Empress and loyal supporters. The Alliance is a legitimate government, as is the Empire. The two are still at war, helped along by various mercenaries for hire while diplomats try to smooth the way.
Old Order and New Order Jedi are working towards finding a common ground and
the current Jedi Council is very conservative, leaning towards the older
ways.
The Sith are an Order unto themselves and there are more than two. As the
Jedi are dedicated to preserving life and a peaceful order, the Sith are the
destroyers of worlds and bringers of an order more suited to their code.
Players may choose to play characters within the Empire, Alliance,
Mercanry, or Diplomatic areas or even create a world of their own to
play.
How We Interact
The majority of our roleplay is carried out through an instant messenger
program (AIM) or through e-mail, as our members are scattered across the
country. A few of actual RP Chat logs are posted here. We do live action roleplay at various events during the year.
First and foremost, we as a community value our interactions and character
effects, this is not about who "wins or loses" it is about a community and
our interactions as such and is far larger than any one single character.
